Reviews of tickets and tours of the Orangerie

Reviews

Six GetYourGuide products give access to the Musée de l'Orangerie: a timed ticket, a small group guided tour, a ticket combined with a Seine cruise, a ticket with a smartphone audio guide and two private tours. I read their reviews, compared what they include and noted what visitors regret. For most people, the skip-the-line ticket is enough; the rest of this page is to know when it is not.

How I work

I read the reviews published on GetYourGuide for each product, in all the languages I can understand, and I note what comes up: the crowds, the welcome, the guide's quality, the logistical mishaps. I only keep what several visitors say, or what one person says with enough detail to be verified on site. The first names mentioned are those that appear on GetYourGuide, without last names.

No operator pays me and none proofreads these pages. The site earns a commission when you book through a GetYourGuide link, which doesn't change the ratings, which are from visitors, or my opinion, which is written before the link. When a single ticket is enough, I say so; that's the case on half of these pages.

The ratings and number of reviews are from my last update. GetYourGuide updates them continuously; the booking widgets show today's numbers. To choose between products without reading six pages, the ticket comparison fits in a table. To understand why the time matters more than the ticket, read the best time to visit.

We are an independent guide, not a tour operator nor the museum. The booking links lead to GetYourGuide and are affiliate links — if you book through them, we may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which product to choose if I only want to read one review?

That of the reserved entry ticket. It's the most purchased product, the least complicated, and it answers the only question that matters: what time will you be in front of the Water Lilies. The other reviews help decide if a guide, a cruise, or an audioguide is worth the extra cost.

Are these reviews independent?

Yes. I am neither the museum nor an operator, and no one reviews these pages before publication. The site earns a commission on reservations made through its links, explained in the affiliate policy. The ratings displayed are those of GetYourGuide visitors, not mine.

Why doesn't the audioguide have a rating?

Because the offer is recent and no visitor has left a review yet. I describe what the product includes and what it doesn't in the dedicated review, and I will update the rating when there is one. Meanwhile, the offer details are on its page.
